Tom Nieman - Managing Director
Tom is the founder of Fortis Partners and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm as well as the successful completion of every search assignment. Since starting the firm in 2002 he has recruited C-level executives to companies including Chegg, LifeLock, Acxiom, and 3VR as well as Partners for firms such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Silver Lake Partners.
Prior to Fortis Partners Tom was a Managing Director at Ramsey Beirne Associates in New York where he was the youngest partner in the firm and conducted more than fifty searches for clients ranging from early-stage startups to multi-billion dollar public companies. At Ramsey Beirne he worked with companies such as E*Trade (CEO, CFO, CIO, CMO), Healtheon (CEO), Ariba (VP Sales), Epinions (VP Sales), and other venture-backed Web 1.0 companies.
Before joining Ramsey Beirne, he was a Consultant at DHR International, the nation's 5th largest retained search firm. At DHR Tom started in the research department and executed a variety of search assignments in both the industrial and consumer goods sectors.
Tom graduated from Dartmouth College, was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL, and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and children.

Dayton Ogden - Managing Director
Based in Silicon Valley, Dayton has been in the executive search business for over 10 years and leads the execution of executive-level searches for Fortis Partners.
Prior to joining Fortis Partners, Dayton was a member of the Technology, Communications & Media practice at Spencer Stuart International recruiting senior executives for both established and emerging companies across several industries. During his tenure at Spencer Stuart he executed search assignments that spanned CEO, COO, CFO, GM, CMO, CHRO, and CIO positions for emerging technology and media companies, as well as Fortune 500 corporations.
Earlier in his career Dayton was co-head of "6figure Select", a stand-alone division of 6figurejobs.com that conducted outsourced research and recruiting on behalf of large retained search firms. In this role he was responsible for all project definition, research, and candidate generation for search assignments across multiple industry sectors.
Prior, Dayton was the fifth employee at The SoBe Beverage Co., where he worked closely with the CEO to grow the company from a flavored beverage start-up to a $60 million business that was acquired by PepsiCo for $370 million.
Dayton earned his BA from Wittenberg University. He and his wife have two young children and reside in the bay area.

Josh Dubinsky - Principal
Josh is a Principal at Fortis Partners. He joined the firm in 2011 and is based in the firm’s Santa Monica headquarters working on C-level searches for a variety of venture-backed technology companies.
Prior to Fortis Partners Josh was a Director at Global Renewable Energy Systems where he identified investment opportunities and performed due diligence on solar, cogeneration, wind, biofuel, algae harvesting and other renewable energy projects around the world.
Earlier Josh was an Engineering Project Manager at Northrop Grumman where he helped develop products that included unmanned aircraft collision avoidance systems, vision processing systems, and other guidance, navigation and control functions. He was also the co-founder of an early social network that expanded to over twenty universities before being acquired in 2007.
Josh graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is on the Board of the Reef Check Foundation and a founding Advisory Board Member to the Riordan Volunteer Leadership Development Program, started by former L.A. Mayor Richard Riordan and part of the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce.
